Ascent Trip ReportParked in Deep Notch and walked south to cross the creek after the second waterfall and begin the ascent. Met a fellow from the HVHG with the same intentions so we teamed up for the climb. Bearing due west we began the steep long hike to the top. Though there was as yet not undergrowth of fern or nettle, there is a lot of small sapling trees to crash though. We were able to stay on the 'ridge' south of Halcott creek. No real difficult climbs just unrelentingly steep. We made the summit in about 1.5hrs and found the canister easily after over shooting the summit to the west. The summit is small and obvious and is not a problem finding the can. We descended due east but ended up dropping too far north towards the creek, so we side-hilled while we descended and eventually found our way back to our original ridge, shortly after we finished just where we began. No leaves on the trees yet so there are some views through the trees.
