Ascent Trip Report

DAY #70 ---TONS OF DEER
Super day for views and lots of deer ....... a short distance after leaving I took a detour (right on the salamander trail) to the summit of Hawksbill, rejoined the AT at Hawksbill gap ..... Took along breakfast break at Skyland, called Rose ........ short side trails to Stony mountain, Little Stony, Mary's rock and Elder Ridge.
Before Elder Ridge I met Thomas, college prof out for the day, from Kings College. Wilkes Barre PA, gave me his card, offered to help in any way on my way thru Delaware Gap/Clinton area, a real nice guy.
The park is full of deer ..... saw 14 today, must be a problem ??????
