Ascent Trip ReportDAY #68 ..... Blackrock hut to Hightop Hut
Sweatband left before me, bit of a sprinkle in the morning, walked the Skyline Drive twice for the views (get out of the tunnel), quiet T uneventful except for the few deer (abundance of them on the ridge). Had lunch at Loft Mountain Wayside store, called Rose. Left my bandana behind this morning. I think that the AT should follow the Drive from time to time to break the monotony.
Light rain as I arrived at the shelter, 7 day hikers already in, had fire going, lots of room in the shelter. Fairly easy day, feeling good.
