Back last evening from Gerry Coutu's funeral in Welland, ON, stayed at Blue Ridge Motel as the other was full.
I dropped Enterprise car off at dealer, they gave a ride to TH on US522. A good easy/mod TRAIL most of the day, odd rocky section. I made side trips to the Towers at Blue Mountain and to Blue Ridge-Paris Benchmark.
Met/hiked with Gene for a few hours, he's out training for the PCT, which he says is easier than AT. Julia at US50, doing her daily runs on the AT - a good looking, very muscular fit mid-aged women, and I told her so - I think she liked the complement.
Quiet day on the Trail, all alone in the shelter, tired but a good day.
