Beautiful clear day ~85F
10am - Left parking lot on Rte 73 in Keene, NY. Trying out my new Scarpa boots. Slowing going, hot and humid. Lots of people on the trail.
12:30pm - Summit Porter
Met some locals who identified the view. Suggested Big Slide as the next hike via the Brothers. Small snack and coconut water.
12:55pm - Left Porter Summit
1:45pm - Summit Cascade
Large holiday crowd. Ate lunch facing west towards Mount Van Hoevenberg and a spectacular High Peaks view. Took short nap and sun bathed.
2:30pm - Left Cascade Summit
4:00pm - Left trail, back at car.
