Bill dropped me off at PA944 TH. Felt somewhat lazy as I climbed to Blue Mountain-Darlington gap, then a drop to hwy #850, back up to Cove Mountain with a long ridge walk before a steep descent to the Susquehanna River at Duncannon PA ..... nice old town ,once referred to as "the jewel of the Susquehanna".
I went to the famous/popular Doyle Hotel (Vicky & Pat), thru hiking pionneers have stayed here. To PO (Katadyn filter, maps), Pat drove me to the grocery store (generous people).
Called Rose, feeling good.
