Ascent Trip ReportNot maintained as a grassy bald, other than a small bald patch at the summit. There is a large patch of meadow and young forest (similar to Spence Field) in vicinity of the Silers Bald Shelter. A short spur trail on the north side of the summit area leads to a cliff with 180-degree view of northern Smokies.
