Opposite the Fork Ridge Trailhead on the other side of the road is a small path in the foliage leading to the A.T. If you turn left on the A.T., you'll pass the Sugarland Mountain Trailhead, with the summit of Mt. Collins approximately one-half mile beyond. There isn't much at the summit, although there is a substantial break in the foliage just before you reach summit that opens up a view to the south. Continuing along the A.T., it's appx. 2.5 miles to Mt. Love (some minor views), 3 miles to Clingmans, 3.5 to Buckley, and 5.5 to Andrews Bald (2 of which follow the Forney Ridge Trail).
