Ascent Trip Report

Maintained trail. Marsh lands in approach have been well improved with boardwalks to prevent wet feet. Summer weekends can experience hundreds of hikers. October has minimal snow and substantially fewer hikers. Only a light boot and micro spikes are necessary. West slopes approach from Guanella Pass TH. Paved road to TH from Georgetown, CO. 2wd dirt road from Grant, CO. Class 2, no exposure.
