Ascent Trip Report

A grass track walk ..... .3 miles RT.

After visiting Webster Parish HP we drove east on I20 to exit 69 and picked-up/drove hwy#151 south 1 mile to its end, at the intersection with Hwy#80/#9 in Arcadia. We continued south on Hwy#9 for .6 miles to a left turn on Hwy#147, 5.69 miles arrived at a woods road entrance on the right, just passed the crest-of-the-road. We parked here this was my TH, a Power Line right-of-way is parallel/just-besides/north-of hwy#147. The HP is to the north at 200 yards.
Note; all my distances given are guess-estimates.

I walked across the right-of-way to a nice grass track heading northwest (which dead-ends at 100 yards), at 50 yards I turned right (north) on a lesser track (at this point it doesn't look much like a track but it will) and climbed 75 yards to higher ground where the nice grass track bends/turns north and in another 75 yards comes to the obvious summit area ..... somewhat open, the area surrounding however has very dense/thorny underbrush, really bad stuff a la Webster.
I chose my spot at 32.48348,-92.87852.

We moved on to Ouachita Parish HP.
