|Date:||Tuesday, March 24, 1992|
|Ascent Type:||Successful Summit Attained|
| Location:||USA-New York|
| Elevation:||3520 ft / 1072 m|
Ascent Trip ReportFirst bushwack in the Catskills. Started out at parking on route 42 about 5 miles North of route 28, I took a compass reading from the map. I crossed 2 streams and followed a ridge line to the top. Moderate with some steep pitches, slippery (didn't use my crampons), 3" of snow at the bottom, it got deeper towards the top to about 6". Open woods all the way up. Lot of rabbit tracks.
Arrived dead-on the summit, couldn't have been any better, super job. On the descent I followed my snow tracks. 3 hour morning.
