Ascent Trip ReportI parked somewhat short of the wilderness boundary, because the road was blocked by some boulders that appeared to have washed down recently. I expect they will be moved by somebody at some point. From the start of my GPS track drop into the wash and turn right up the sandy wash - this is the old road. You also may prefer to walk it instead of driving unless you like serious 4-wheeling.
The approach to where I parked had a sandy wash just north of the freeway, so you'll want good traction on your vehicle.
