Ascent Trip Report

Beautiful winter day, if a bit cold. I took the York Pond, Bunnell Notch and Kilkenny Ridge Trails up Cabot. I saw little or no evidence of travel on any of the trails branching off from this route.

I had been up Cabot before, but not during winter. This turned out to be a pleasant hike. The last mile up Cabot was moderately steep, but the rest was fairly easy. My round trip time for this snowshoe hike was about 4 hours, with minimal stopping.
