Ascent Trip Report

A difficult outing on a miserable day. We got a brief view of the peak at the trailhead, then the clouds rolled in again. We were soaked early on due to the bushwacking through the soaked plants. Route finding was a problem as my GPS was still broken and Collin was using the software on his iPhone, which created no track to follow back. With the rain and low clouds it was tricky to even determine direction. The summit featured more rain and what appeared to be freezing fog. We stayed maybe five minutes before Collin's shivering reminded me we needed to get moving again. If you are doing this one, head LEFT at the T-intersection near the corral, and you will rediscover the Jeep track. We figured this out on the way down, unfortunately.

*** I do not have a GPS track for this outing, as mine was still broken. Collin and I took a gully and approached the summit from the south amid heavy brush. Descent route was slightly different but still headed south from the summit.
