Ascent Trip ReportMet up with Cullen for a quick breakfast at Monroe's Family Restaurant in Twin Mountain. We were on the trial by 10 and had a nice day with temps in the mid 20s made for a pleasant hike. We parked at the Zealand Winter Area and made our way up Zealand Road to the Hale Brook Trailhead. From there it was uphill 2.2 miles to the summit. This was tough going, though it probably should have been easier. On the way up there were multiple spots with great views of the southern presidentials. Summited in just over 2.5 hrs from the parking lot. The summit was open, but without views. It was very windy so we stopped quickly just below the summit to have some lunch. The hike down was easy and we were back at the car by 3.
