Ascent Trip Report

Left late Thursday evening for the Baker Pass Trail lot; Hiked for 2h to pitch camp at sunset in last stand of trees on trail to Easton Gl.; Gorgeous, clear evening with views of Twin Sisters and Baker (summit clouded at the moment); Began ascent at 0600; Excellent crampon snow conditions; saw some mammoth crevasses and needed to cross the odd snow bridge en route; two large parties were met on their way down from the summit; brilliant views of the Sisters and even to Rainier; only steeper section was Roman Wall (NTD); did not notice issues related to altitude; cool to see steam vents in crater along the route; snow considerably softer on descent, but still firm; great trip - could be daytripped
