Ascent Trip Report

I took my GPS device and explored all the 980+ areas of Minneapolis. Most of the areas, including all the bumps near the St. Anthony border, in Waite Park, and in Deming Heights Park (given by Wikipedia as the highest point) were in the mid-980s range. Just north of Waite Park, though, I found a house (3412 Hayes) with a reading of 1003 on the front lawn next to the doorstep. I believe their lawn is the high point of Minneapolis.

The isolation of this peak is about .8 miles, the nearest higher peak being in St. Anthony at about 3500 Silver Lake Rd.
