Ascent Trip Reporta drive up on CR 274 from Hwy 53 to 2 Areas.
From Hope we drove east of Hwy #278 to a left turn on Hwy #53, west of Rosston. We drove north on #53 for 1.2 miles to a left on CR 274, (the tall Communication Tower can be seen to the Northwest on the drive north), .5 miles we arrived at the gate in front of the fenced-in Towers.
PB's Area 1 is located east of the Tower at 30 yards, inside the woods.
AREA 2 is on the CR 274 bend , 100 yards before you get to the Tower.
After this hike we drove to the Miller CoHP, AR., only to find a locked gate and no one answering the call box on 410 N Rondo Road !!!!!. The Wren family owns the property.
We are really anxious to see family ....... tonight we will overnight in Texarkana, TX. and tomorrow we will drive our final leg to The Woodlands, TX. for hugs/stay with our son and his family. As grandparents we can hardly wait.
It sure is nice to leave the "Snows of Montreal".
