Ascent Trip ReportTogether with Edith. We start by ferry boat from Guernsey at 8.00 o'Clock in the morning. At 9.00 o'Clock we arrive the island. All shops and restaurants are closed. I'm hungry, tired and cold. In a teeny-weeny shop we ask for tea. The owner Helen told us, she had no licence to sell us hot drinks, but anyway she can give us some tea. My answer: if I forget this money here on the table, so it is not necessary to have a license, to take it. We had a wonderfull talk in the store and Helen ask Mr. Axton to open the mill. So it was possible for us, to climb the mill to the highest point of Sark and thus Bailiwick of Guernsey. We hiked a little around after that. For a short visit of Little Sark, we cross the narrows "Coupee". Here is to the right and left a 80m escarpment to the ocean. Later we sit for a couple hours in the New Islandhall, have a tea and good lunch. The ferry boat back to Guernsey starts at 4 o'Clock, at 5 o'Clock we are back on Guernsey. Nice trip and very kindly people on the Island! Matthias Fieles
