Ascent Trip ReportIt snowed pretty hard at the trailhead, but hiking through the trees was sheltered. Once I got above the tree line and onto the ridge things got dicy. It was snowing and the wind was blowing at 30 mph. The air temp was about 5 f making the windchill about -40f. Feet and body were ok, but my hands and fingers were getting very cold. I couldn't grip my poles and the tips of my fingers hurt when touched. I turned around just below the bump 13100. I was wearing or alti gloves, but I guess under these conditions one needs to wear mitts.
