Ascent Trip ReportRyan met us up at the Ski House in the morning. We got a late start so we chose this hike because of its length. We got onto the trail at noon and went up the Webster Jackson Trail. We stopped at the lookout and had some fine views across the notch. Once we got above the split in the trail that leads to Webster the trail became icy, toward the top we put on the microspikes to make it to the top. On the way back down we took the detour to see the elephant rock.
Views from the summit were fantastic. Clear views of Pierce, Eisenhower, Monroe and Washington on one side, Field Tom and Willey across the notch. There were 360 views of mountains all around. One of the finest views of any summit I have seen.
