Ascent Trip ReportWe approached from the south after visiting Blue Knob, Bedford County HP.
From Pavia, intersection Hwy 869/Pavia Road with a large sign "Blue Knob State Park", we drove north on Pavia Road for 3.73 miles where a sharp right took us to the Blue Knob summit.
After descending back to this intersection we continued north (road becomes SR3003 in Blair County) for 2.17 miles to a faint woods road on the right (east) at the start of a harvested corn field ..... this woods road is approx 100 yards passed the white house #1095 on the left, immediately after the Power Line crossing over SR3003 and just before the crest of SR3003.
At this point the faint woods road looks more like an entrance to the corn field, but once you walk east 50 yards (along the edge of the corn field) and enter the woods the good woods road becomes obvious.
I walked/climbed the woods road eastbound half a mile to its crest, turned right and bushwacked/climbed (moderately steep) 200 yards southerly to the ridge then west 100 yards to the summit (all nice open/nude deciduous woods, easy going) ..... I chose my somewhat obvious spot at GPS 40.32220,-78.55980.
