Ascent Trip Report

A loop around Long Trail heights and views with three shelter stops, microspikes on at Beaver Meadow Lodge, this after bridging swift stream crossing, at start of snow cover before striking up steep Chilcoot Pass Trail, early lunch at Madonna Peak's warming hut, then stopping at Whiteface Shelter to laze warm in the sun, after returning down from Mount Whiteface and finally on to a quick trailhead finish (washing microspikes off in stream along the way and drying on waist belt).
