Ascent Trip Report

This trip was our shortest Catskills hike. We were done by about 2pm or so after hiking for 5.5 hours. The weather was fantastic! Sunny, cool but not cold (it was April afterall). We ran into lots of damage due to Irene last fall. The creeks coming down off the mountain that converged near the trailhead had made a total mess of the trail and had even washed away a good 1/4 mile of it along the creek before the junction of the Mine Hollow and Oliverea Mapledale trails.
