Ascent Trip ReportThe col between South and Middle Weeks lies on a flattish piece of ground and the trail passes through in a straight line. The uphill follows this line directly towards the summit and the grade is easy. Again, I was spotting many traces of moose activity, and this made me all the more nervous. The footprints were going in the same direction I was headed and I didn't want to catch up to their maker. I was doubly aware and cautious.
There were no events on this peak though and the summit, as its predecessor, was very bland and uninteresting. I stopped a few minutes to take some bites out of my rations before resuming downhill. Here, the next col was slightly lower than the previous, and the number of switchbacks increased. At least, the worse of the blowdown was behind.
