Ascent Trip Report

Via the AT from the north (6.2 mi RT).
WINDY, some snow on Katahdin (and in the shadows of rocks on White Cap).
Great Views toward Long Pond - Elephant - Baker - the Spencers - and Baxter State Park.
Saw no one.
New Register at Logan Brook Lean-To, but no pen/pencil...
Ruffed Grouse in abundance...
Wonderful Stone Steps on trail - Kudos to Trail Crews who put in many hours of Hard Work to reach this level of construction.
Last time I was up here it was 1984 and via BH 206 helicopter.
