Ascent Trip Report

Silverado Motorway Trail(5SO3) switchbacks it's way from a starting elevation near 1,750' to 3,690' over 3.5 miles. The trail is rocky in places but generally well maintained. It passes a helicopter pad about 500 yards before ending at it's intersection with N.Main Divide Road.

Heading NW on Main Divide Road, you'll pass a stand of pine trees at 2-1/4 miles and several steep, short-cut ATV roads that are passable on foot but closed to low-clearance vehicles. Lake Elsinor and Irvine Lake come into view occasionally, along with the local towns surrounding them. At 4-1/4 miles a second stand of Pine trees appears as the road rounds a bend, with Pleasants Peak ahead. Take the maintained peak trail that rises from the road on the left about 150' past the Pines. The trail climbs the north peak face steadily at first, then turns into a scramble towards the summit which is located before the radio antennae. The peak has a marker similar to Bald Peak's 2' tall metal marker, I couldn't find a benchmark.

Hagador Peak(prov, 3,880') and its' antennae is a 1.5 mile trek along the Main Divide north from Pleasants Peak (3mi r/t), and is about 120' lower in elevation. There were no peak registers located at either peak today.
