Ascent Trip Report

From US 119 south of Sykeville I turned onto the Troutville Rd. In Troutville I turned south at the main intersection on a road that runs into SR3009. This twists about quite a bit but eventually passes within an 1/8 a of mile west of the hp. It might be easiest just to park on the road if you can find a safe parking spot. I turned into a jeep track slightly south of the closest spot and followed in to some gas pipes where my GPS put me at 0.17 mi. from the hp coordinates. I bushwhacked from there--some high weeds and a few brambles, but after the difficult bushwhacks I did the day before this seemed easy. The hp is heavily wooded, but there are some views of surrounding countryside where I parked.
