Ascent Trip ReportA seriously long but fun day. I hiked from the town of Moinstrol de Montserrat, up to the famous monastery and then took a series of hiking paths. Even did some foolhardy, stupid moves like scrambling a 20m rockface in order to get up a bunch of switchbacks and surprised a group fo unsuspecting German hikers when my head popped up over the edge of the path! Seriously interesting geography here. I am used to more alpine, snowy and rocky peaks. Seeing Montserrat was more like a trip to the US Southwest or something...
