Ascent Trip ReportHiked the Perry Creek trail via the Dickerman TH. Same old thing. Up to the meadows area and to where you get on the route. First view of Forgotten. Dropped steeply on bootpath but the path was mainly fairly well worn. Really did not have too much trouble following it. Lost elevation at the beginning and then traversed, ascending a little. Got over to the open flat area at the bench. Took the first gully which had a bootpath. Pretty much a walk up through some loose talus and grass and all that to the summit. We then tried to figure out which summit was highest. Klenke indicated the middle one was higher. However, when sighting from the close easy summit over to the middle one we found that the background peak of Pilchuck, which is lower in elevation, appeared above the top of the middle peak. Given that Pilchuck is lower and would appear even lower due to curvature of the Earth, the middle peak would have to appear above Pilchuck if it were higher. It appeared a bit lower and so it must be lower. Seems pretty clearcut to me. Nonetheless, we poked around the other peak which requires crossing a narrow notch and making a move either chavaling over a rocky fin or a long step over on the right side. Maybe class 4, probably 3 but exposed. Four of us tagged the other summit and Greg and Edward went over to the third summit which is clearly lower. I feel certain though that the first earlier summit is highest. It is possible that the other summit may have been higher at some point and the rock eroded at some point as there seemed to be a lot of rock breaking off per Greg's testing. So that's that. We hiked out with no problems, just the usual slog to the car. Not too bad. It was a real pleasure to get this one after 2 previous attempts.
