Ascent Trip ReportCheaha Mountain in Alabama is another one of those "drive up" mountains. In this case, drive into the park to the summit and then back out. There are some hiking trails in the area, but Cheaha Mountain is primarily the only significant peak in that area. An observation tower is located at the summit where people can view the surroundings, including a couple major municipalities. Being the highest point in Alabama, Cheaha Mountain attracts many visitors each year. This was my second trip to the peak.
