Ascent Trip ReportDecided around 9pm the prior evening that we wanted to see the sunrise from Rose. About 3am we departed Reno after a quick stop for batteries and snacks at the store. Made the trek up at a decent pace and arrived about 20-30 minutes prior to sunrise. Very enjoyable view and as expected did not see any other hikers until we were about 2/3 of the way back down. Anyone contemplating summitting Rose I would suggest a windbreaker, it is always fairly windy at the top and otherwise enjoy the hill.
