Ascent Trip ReportAfter ticking off Snowdon the day before yesterday, it was time to climb the highest mountain in England. We parked the car in Seathwaite, walked up to Sty Tarn and followed - at least partly - the so-called corridor route. In the thick wet fog (which by the way made both Karin and myself question why we are wearing glasses...) and the strong winds we did not dare to tackle "Lords Rake" and Scafell before the final ascent, but instead followed the main route from Wasdale to the summit. The descent became the highlight of the day, since the sky gradually cleared as we lost height and decided to take the route over Glaramara on our way back to the car park.
