Ascent Trip Report

I've been waiting all summer to climb the Kinsmans. I tried a couple of months ago via the Cascade Brook Trail and couldn't cross the brook due to the bridge being washed out. The Lonesome Lake Trail up to the Lonesome Lake Hut was uneventful. The Fishin' Jimmy Trail was very steep and rough. It was even more daunting coming back down. The Kinsman Ridge Trail was fairly steep with some boulder climbing. All of the trails were mud free. I met a couple of funny guys on the way back down that parked in the wrong lot and ended up climbing Cannon first. It was a very long and arduous hike and I'm glad to be able to cross the Kinsmans off of my list.
