Ascent Trip ReportA nice, short hike and scramble up to a terrific viewpoint. Took the shuttle bus in to The Grotto stop, crossed the street, and then simply followed the trail and (eventually) ridgecrest from there. The scramble is class 2, but very exposed in sections. Nothing difficult at all, but given the considerable use on the upper ridge, some of the downsloping ledges are fairly sandy, so attention is needed. Numerous chained sections are available who want the comfort of a "line", but if you're comfy with the exposure and scrambling, then these will only be in your way. :) Highly recommended hike.
