This was a Sierra Peaks Section trip led by Bill T. Russell and Bill Gray. On day two, the group day hiked Mount Kaweah via the High Sierra trail and the peak's class 1 south slope. On day three, we made an unsuccessful attempt on Black Kaweah (please see my 06-25-1988 Black Kaweah report) and, on day four, the group backpacked out to Mineral King over Blackrock and Glacier Passes.
