Ascent Trip Report

Mont Ouzon, 1880m, P643m

Map: 1:25k: 3528ET

Stats: 643mH, 5km

Time: 2 Sep 06, ascent 1:05, descent 0:45.

Start: from S, Col de Corbier, car park

Route: mapped signposted paintmarked track and path to summit. On reaching ridge, summit is immediately on R.
Difficulties: final 20m of ascent to ridge is steep scramble with chain (not expected from map), although I preferred the rock to the chain. Slightly intimidating in descent.

Trig point: none mapped or seen

Notes: Fine rocky summit, fine panorama, although summit a bit low for a really great view. Summit cross. Early evening, Kestrel calling, cowbells the only suggestion of humanity in 2 hours.
