Ascent Trip ReportFrom the Balsam Gap overlook on the Blue Ridge Parkway, head westbound on the Mountain-to-Sea Trail, which crosses Walker Knob in 0.25 miles. HP is a few yards SE of the trail as it crests. Directions here can be a little disorienting--the westbound MST actually heads south and the northbound BRP heads east--but if you're obsessive enough to seek an unranked mile-high peak like Walker Knob, you can figure it out.
