Ascent Trip ReportI arrived at midnight the night before and found a parking lot full of cars. I went back down the road a little to not disturb anyone and camped on my cot for the night. In the morning when I awoke at first light, I went back up the the parking lot and found nobody around. I figured this was the start of the trail and started walking up the roadway. I soon found out, I could have driven down this road close to another mile. I should have read the previous trip reports, as it looks like this is mentioned in them. A high clearance vehicle would have no problem getting to the "actual" trail head where it turns to a trail with no motor vehicles allowed. Follow the trail up to the ridge before it drops down towards Edith Lake for an easy hike with minimal steep spots.
Great views from the top, with some interesting mountains to the northwest.
