Ascent Trip ReportThis was a California Mountaineering Club trip led by Nile Sorenson and Bill Oliver. On day one, we backpacked from the Big Pine Creek trailhead to our camp at Elinore Lake. On day two, we made our way up to Scimitar Pass, then traversed along the peak's class 3 northwest ridge to a notch, where the leaders set up a rope and belayed the group up a 160', class 4 sloping slab; from the top of the slab, the summit is a class 3 scramble. On day 3, we backpacked back out to the vehicles.
