Ascent Trip ReportThis was a Sierra Peaks Section trip led by Larry Tidball, Barbee Tidball and Tina Bowman. Our group spent two days backpacking in from Mineral King over Glacier and Black Rock Passes to the Big Arroyo. On day three, the group dayhiked Stewart Peak from our camp in the Big Arroyo via its class 2 Southeast Slope Route; also, the summit block is class 3. On day four, part of the group climbed Black Kaweah while the rest of the group took a rest day. On day five, I backpacked out to the truck while the rest of the group climbed more peaks. Trip stats for Mount Stewart are from the Big Arroyo.
