Ascent Trip ReportClose to the Mexican border when at the summit. The locals said it was okay during the day, but illegals come across at night so I shouldn't be there after dark. However, a large group of people were going in as I was going out for a New Year's celebration. The locals also warned me that even stepping across the border could get me arrested by the Mexican police who would send me directly to jail in Mexico City.
