Ascent Trip ReportArrived at the saddle between Chestnut Bald and Silvermine Bald via the Mountains-to-Sea Trail from the west. Near the west end of the saddle, found a faint trail that headed towards the top. Followed this a ways until it faded, then bushwhacked our way to the top. Bushwhack was not as severe as some reports have suggested it might be, but the summit area is fairly heavily vegetated and deciding where the top is can be interesting. Returned to trail and headed over Silvermine Bald and down to FR 816 in the rain.
