Ascent Trip Report

FR 1913 dead ends in 9.2 mi. at a convenient turnaround. I headed out on a GPS heading through woods with lots of downed trees, hit a forest track in a few hundred yards that heads over an intervening knob, and then connects with a track that parallels the Valle Vidal fence line. It headed more or less straight towards the peak, albeit with several up and down slopes (hence total elevation gain for the trip is about double the net difference between the start point and the peak). I bushwhacked uphill the last 0.1 mi.

The top is tree covered, but there are excellent views along much of the way including a striking view of nearby Baldy Mt.
