Ascent Trip Report

Giant and Rocky Peak Ridge

Route = Ridge Trail to Giant to Fast Trail to Rocky Peak and back the way we came

Distance round-trip (estimated) = 8.4 miles

Total hike time (including stops) = 8 hours

Cumulative elevation gain (per GPS) = 4669 feet

Trailhead used = Ridge trailhead off Route 73 (just south of Chapel Pond)

Comments: Some nice open rock faces. Several false peaks. Nice views of the great range to the west. No views to the other side. The hike to Rocky is fun. Rocky is a big flat peak with best views to the west.
