Ascent Trip ReportA very long drive up from Tri-Cities, left Kennewick at 4am and summited at noon Mountain Time, so seven hours one way. The last three miles of road are fairly narrow. As I have found all year in Idaho, OHV riders have narrowed the ruts down so it makes driving the road a little rougher than you would hope for. Stopped at the last switchback and hiked the last 150 feet to summit. Views obstructed by smoke from rampant wildfires. Took a friend who is a geocacher along with me in attempt to convince him even drive up peakbagging is better than geocaching.
