Ascent Trip ReportOur Trip to Mt. Moosilauke was an amazing adventure. We started up the trail head at 9:00am. The trail quickly steepened as we trudged up the loose snow. Andrew and I were kick stepping for about 1hr refusing to put on our snow shoes because of our new plastic boot purchases. Upon reaching the junction for the south and true summit we took our final break before our summit push. We then attached our crampons and layered up for the expected 30 to 40 mph wind gusts and headed out. We reached the summit at about 1:35 and awaiting us was the ferocious winds which sadly knocked me to my feet several times. After reaching the summit and taking our pictures of Mt. Lafayette and Mt. Washington we headed back down for must need rest dinner and our 4 hour ride home.
Great Hike :)
