Ascent Trip Report

Great trip, hit a snag by trying to get to wedge brook from east river trail. If you go this route you will pass wedge brook on the wrong side of the river and wind up at beaver meadow brook. Once you get to Wedge brook the climb is fine, its a tight path and has it's diffuculty. Compared to Lower Wolfjaw I thought this was a bit harder. Lots of people up top but upper has much better views then lower. Lots of people on the trail after the split including a guy who rolled his ankle, spoke with him for a minute but he seemed to be more interested in the women that stopped to see how he was. on the way down we were alone all the way to the west river trail then finally past a couple on the Lake road. You should be able to do both upper and lower in about 8 hours.
