Ascent of Mount Truman on 2012-07-18Date: | Wednesday, July 18, 2012 | Ascent Type: | Successful Summit Attained | Peak: | Mount Truman | Location: | USA-New Hampshire | Elevation: | 5000 ft / 1524 m |
Ascent Trip ReportMount Truman is a minor peak in the Franconia Range. It is well above 4,000 ft, but is not in the list because it does not have enough topographic prominence.
The FRT went down from Mt. Lincoln an around to the col between Lincoln and a minor peak in the ridge called Mt. Truman, then ascended it.
Mt. Truman's summit is open and relatively flat. The views were obstructed by clouds, like those of Lincoln. My Dad and I stayed for only a few minutes, then went to Lafayette.
