Ascent Trip ReportMy Dad and I headed to Mt. Lincoln after summiting Little Haystack.
The Franconia Ridge Trail had a generally moderate grade, with easier and steeper parts, and it was rocky. It left Little Haystack and went up and down, with good views all around. There were some tall, rocky stack-like things on the ridge, but the trail went around them. After that, it ascended moderately to the 5,089 ft. summit of Mt. Lincoln.
Mt. Lincoln's summit was also bare and was marked by a cairn bigger than the rest. We stopped there to drink some water. The views weren't as good as those on Haystack because of incoming clouds. I took a quick video and then we headed to Lafayette.
